Getting Started

Overview

Joining the Coupa Supplier Portal (CSP) is easy. You only need to perform a few basic steps:

  1. Sign up for the CSP.
  2. Create your account and public profile.
  3. Make sure you're connected to your customers.

Once you are signed in, Coupa takes you on a tour of the new site.

Signing up

There are two ways to create an account on the CSP. Regardless of the method you choose, you'll need access to the email address you're going to use for the account.

Method Pros Cons
Customer-created invitation Once you accept the invitation and create your account, you'll automatically be connected to the customer who invited you. You have to wait for your customer to send the invitation email.
Self-created invitation You can get started right away and update your profile more quickly. You need to connect manually to your Coupa-based customers.

To sign up for the CSP with a self-created invitation:

  1. Go to supplier.coupahost.com.
  2. Fill in all the (mandatory) fields and request an invite. You receive an email asking you to confirm your email address.
  3. Create your account.

The most important thing to understand about your CSP account is that it's based on a specific email address. If you use an address that's different than the one your Coupa customers have on file for you, you won't be able to connect with them until you've either given them the address, or you create a CSP account with that email address.

If you didn't receive your invitation email, be sure to check your spam folder.

Creating an Account

Once you've followed the link from the invitation email, you'll be asked to provide some basic information for your account and your company's public profile.

Setting Description
*First Name This is you personal first name. It's a required field that will be applied to your personal account.
*Last Name This is your personal last name. It's a required field that will be applied to your personal account.
*Company This is the name of your company as seen on your company's public profile.
*Email This field can't be changed. If you want to change it, you'll have to create a different CSP account using that email address. If you want to use this email as well, create two company accounts and then merge them. For more info, see Managing Merge Requests.
Password Use this field to create your password. It must be at least 8 characters long.
Password Confirmation This field needs to match the password you typed in the password field.
Privacy Policy You must accept the privacy policy to use the CSP. You will not be able to click OK until you select this checkbox.

By default, this email address/account will be the admin account for your company. Once set up, you can add users and assign them roles, including account administration. For more info, see Administering the Portal.
