What’s changing?
Beginning in May ‘22, the Coupa Supplier Portal (CSP) will no longer support Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE). We’re doing this ahead of Microsoft’s plan to retire Internet Explorer and replace it with their latest web browser, Microsoft Edge.
When will you stop supporting IE11?
We’ll end support for IE11 on May 27, 2022.
Why won't you support IE11 beyond May '22?
There are numerous reason why we'll end support for IE 11, but here are the most important ones:
- Microsoft will end support for IE11 beginning June 15, 2022
- It’s not as secure as newer browsers
- It doesn’t support the latest web technologies
Finally, given that Microsoft won’t support IE11 going forward, it doesn’t make any sense to try and support a retired browser.
What browsers can I use?
The CSP currently supports the latest version of the following browsers:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Microsoft Edge
Keep in mind, end of support for Internet Explorer is being driven by Microsoft with the expectation that your organization will replace IE with Edge.
What if I have other applications that rely on IE11?
You can use Microsoft Edge using IE mode. Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge will be supported through at least 2029.
Additionally, Microsoft has a Getting Started Guide to start configuring IE mode. They also offer the Internet Explorer Retirement Adoption Kit with ready-made content to help you notify users and leaders in your organization about the upcoming changes and help move them to Microsoft Edge.
